Pia is a film educator at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, where she develops and produces programmes for schools, festivals and museums in the Netherlands and abroad. Pia studied her MA in the Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image at the University of Amsterdam in 2020. Prior to this, she completed a BA in Art and Image History and a BA in European Ethnology at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She also worked previously with the MACHmit! Museum for children, KUKI Festival and the Jimmy Nelson Foundation. Her passion is to develop inclusive and community-centered education programmes which foster meaningful connections to, and dialogue about, moving images.
