Painterly impressions of the horse’s silhouette, its springy movements, the shape of its head and the stallion’s fight. In addition to his own animation, the director shows studies of the horse by Leonardo da Vinci, drawings by Pablo Picasso, Saul Steinberg and other artists, as well as mythological figures such as the centaur and pegasus. He also shows how horses were painted by Japanese and Chinese artists, as well as Paleolithic art creators.
