A highly acclaimed young filmmaker from the Philippines, who has tackled taboo subjects such as the presence of drag queens in local culture, this time, in an 18-minute feature, he reaches out to tackle the issue of sexual violence against young people. This is accompanied by a second aspect of the phenomenon – the addictive and decisive role of social media in this situation, which, on the one hand, facilitates the ‘hunting’ of sexual predators, and on the other, is a space for the naive, who think that a strict boundary separates the virtual world from the real one. But #teen is not a moralistic or pedagogical tale, but a full-blown drama and thriller.
