Živa Jurančič studied Cultural Studies and has over 15 years of experience working with children and teenagers in the field of cultural education—11 of which have been as part of Kinodvor’s Film Education and Young Audiences Department. She has been primarily responsible for three film education projects, each targeting a different audience: Rendez-vous with Coffee and Talk, a film subscription series for older audiences; Kinotrip – By the Youth for the Youth, a youth film programme; and the international project Film in Hospital. Each of these projects is tailored to a specific target group and requires ongoing engagement with people, as well as a deep understanding of the habits, interests, desires, and needs of each audience. Since June 2024, she has taken on an even more active role in making Kinodvor’s film programme accessible to diverse audiences in her new position as Project Manager for Accessibility and Audience Development.
