Kids
If you love watching films, Ale Kino! is the first film festival you should visit!
You can go to see a film with your class, with your family, with your friends. After selected screenings there are meetings with the filmmakers. You can talk to actors and actresses who are your age.
You are also invited to vote for the best film, which will receive the Audience Award at the end of the Festival.
In our programme you will find:
- short and full-length films for children of different ages, pre-school and school,
- meetings with filmmakers,
- special events, such as the Secret Screening – a special screening for people who like film surprises. At the beginning we will only tell you the genre of the film and the meeting place. From there, we’ll go to an unusual screening location (because it won’t be a cinema) and only then will you learn the title of the film you’re about to see.
And if you are between 10 and 13 years old you can also:
- apply to the Children’s Jury and judge the competing feature-length or short films during the Festival and award the best one (recruitment for this year’s Jury ended on 15 September)
- take part in the ‘Young Programmers’ project and co-create a set of short films, which will be shown during the next edition of the Ale Kino! (you can take part in the project during winter breaks and summer holidays, for more information see the Young Programmers section)
