Bobby’s tales of hunting on the plains of Tanzania awaken the dark side of her work colleague Lucas.
Film expert recommends
The new film from the young Irish director, who also makes documentaries, is a 20-minute feature that is difficult to define by genre. It may be closest to a thriller, but it is also a psychodrama, a macabre, a black comedy and a film about teenage adolescence. And it is also a surreal revenge fantasy about parents whose phobias and faults are often passed on to their children. The original form of the film corresponds well with its transgressive and outrageous content, behind which Freud’s great-grandfather probably hides.
