11-year-old Janek spends his summer vacation at his grandmother’s house in Upper Silesia, where, thanks to his great-grandfather, he discovers the magical world of Silesian legends and mining beliefs. Together with his friend Bartek, he tries to recover a magical silver coin that could help them free Janek’s sister, Zosia, from the clutches of the wicked Water Spirit (Utopiec).
