Oko Kalejdoskopu

Is it possible to make an animated film without professional equipment, a big budget, or a team of specialists? Yes, it is!

The National Review of Animated Films Created by Children, Oko Kalejdoskopu (The Kaleidoscope Eye), was established in 2014 to support children and youth creating animated films and to create a nationwide platform for showcasing their work.

Each year, creators aged 5 to 17 are invited to participate in the project. They work individually or in groups, on their own or under the guidance of professionals, experimenting with various animation techniques—from stop-motion to hand-drawn animation.

Oko Kalejdoskopu is a week of intensive workshops during which children and young people learn different animation techniques, collaborate on their own projects, explore the behind-the-scenes world of animated film production, and meet others who want to create, experiment, and grow as filmmakers.

Each edition of the Review culminates in Poznań with a final screening, the announcement of the Jury’s verdict, and the awarding of prizes.

Why take part?

  • Because you can create your own animated film—from concept to completion.

  • Because you’ll see films by other young creators—they might inspire your next project.

  • Because you’ll participate in workshops with professionals who will share their experience.

  • Because you have a chance to take part in the final screening in Poznań, where the best works are showcased and awarded.
