Although Mina and Markus didn’t take first place in the dance competition, they received quite a consolation prize: a trip to Hollywood and the chance to appear in a music video for a famous singer!
What’s more, they’re allowed to bring their entire dance group with them to Los Angeles. Once in America, Mina catches the eye of a casting director and gets the opportunity to audition for a film role. It’s like the American dream come true!
But can she balance her potential new career with what was supposed to matter most – dancing? Mina has to deal not only with her own ambitions, but also with missing her beloved grandmother and navigating love troubles – both her own and her parents’! It’s a lot to handle, but thankfully, dancing is a great way to let off steam!
This follow-up to Aurora Gossé’s film – which was warmly received during a previous edition of Ale Kino! – takes viewers across the ocean.
There, to the rhythm of music by Norwegian singer Anna of the North, familiar characters return, including Markus, played by Sturla Harbitz, who visited Poznań two years ago and stole the hearts of our audience.
