This year’s Ale Kino! Pro, the industry strand of the Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival, will take place from 25 to 27 November 2026. Ale Kino! Pro is a meeting space for people working across film, culture and education who want to support the development of high-quality cinema for children and young people.

Ale Kino! Pro brings together filmmakers, producers, distributors, representatives of cinemas and festivals, educators, cultural practitioners, researchers, critics, journalists, and professionals working in promotion and communications. We also welcome students of film, arts, education and humanities courses.

Young audiences at the heart of the programme

The programme is built around a close consideration of young people’s needs, experiences and ways of participating in culture. We want to discuss films not only as finished works, but also as part of a wider process of building relationships with audiences – from developing an idea and producing a film to promotion, distribution and educational activities.

Ale Kino! Pro combines film practice with audience research, education, developmental psychology and knowledge of the contemporary experiences of children and young people.

Inspiration Day 2026 – the conference strand of Ale Kino! Pro

The two-day Inspiration Day conference will take place on 26 and 27 November 2026. Its main theme will be the impact that cinema, film education and participatory practices can have on the lives of young people.

The programme will focus on five areas:

  • film education as a tool for change,
  • film campaigns designed to create social impact,
  • participatory practices involving young people,
  • audience research and measuring the outcomes of our work,
  • presentations of inspiring projects and examples of good practice.

During Inspiration Day, we will also present the findings of a study of young audiences aged 10–13, conducted by the Children’s Art Centre in Poznań and the Ale Kino! Festival, in partnership with and with funding from the Polish Film Institute.

The full conference programme and the names of invited speakers will be published on our website closer to the event.

Three days of audience design at Ale Kino! Pro

Audience design activities will also take place from 25 to 27 November 2026. Audience design is a method of developing a film project with its future audience in mind. It helps filmmakers define who the film is for, understand the needs of its viewers and plan how to build a lasting relationship with them.

This method will be used to support Polish film projects for children and young people. Work with the selected teams will continue throughout all three days of the event, including during Inspiration Day.
